This collection was very much cultural inspired. I am Hmong white, meaning that our language dialect and our practices are slightly different from Hmong Green or Hmong Stripe. Hmong White, Stripe, and Green are differentiated with what skirt/blouse they wear. Hmong White would usually have white skirts, Hmong Stripe wouId have stripes down their blouse sleeve and Hmong Green would have different color stripes on their skirt. I wanted to do an all white collection to showcase the white skirt but still keep the traditional sash that's hung behind the skirt with Hmong inspired accessories that we are seeing today in retail stores.
